Need Info!!

Alright here's the deal. A couple of days ago, my 96 3-series BMW broke down. Something major with the ignition and back axle. Anyway i'm really interested in an STI but of course don't have the money for it. I was out with my friend and i came across a dealership with a regular 02 WRX for sale. I stopped by and it only had 7,500 miles on it and it is for $17,000. It has a few upgrades on it such as turbo, exhaust, intake, and i think clutch. Also with a really nice paint job on it. The owner of the dealer ship let me take it out for a test drive and it felt great. The exhaust wasn't too loud and the aftermarket turbo didn't have any lag to it at all. Well, i can afford about $8000 out of my own pocket, but for the other $9-10,000 i will need a loan (which i will be able to get). Here's the question:
Do you think this car would be worth the buy? Such as, do any problems wait for me in the future with the aftermarket turbo on it? Or, do you think i should just find something else?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

if it's from a subaru dealership they'll have no problem give you the extended warranty. Or if the dealership is mod friendly then ask if they'll still cover the factory warranty. There are a couple of defects from the factory but they're well documented and the dealership should have no problem replacing those parts for free.

17k doesn't sound like a bad deal for those miles/mods. good luck
