Is there any difference in the B18A and B18B blocks?

I think Im going to need a rebuild sometime soon with the amount of beatings i been giving my motor. I am looking for mainly a lower end, B18A's are very common so they are cheaper. I plan to use a block guard and put new pistons and rods in, use stock block and crank then maybe go with a b16 head if i have enough money left. is the B18a block and crank the same as a b18b or what is the differences? I know the b18b has a better flowing head.

Kyle

Also I am plannin to run 10psi steet and 15 on the track, I want the JE pistons, the cheaper eagle rods, and im going to block guard it, should I be safe or will I need better parts?

As far as the block goes they are almost the same, the B18A1 has weaker rod bolts, but an ARP upgrade will cure that.
