sr20det help

i read the whole newbie faq thread ...
ok i have a few questions...

I've decided im going to buy a redtop sr20det from osakajdmmotors....
I know i will need the Engine, transmission, alternator, starter, power steering pump, Crank Angle Sensor, ECU, harness, MAFS, and Power Transistor / Ignitor Chip....
I'm going to keep the boost at stock 7 psi..
My 1st question is... What should i buy for the sr, to up the reliability ?????( keep in mind im keeping it at 7psi) What is a must that i should do while i have easy access to the engine
Though i dont want to get too pricey because the engine itself is expensive enough...

my second question is...
Does the sr have a/c? .... (im pretty sure it does..)
and what is involved in setting that up because i live in vegas and a/c is a must!!

i'm going to get it professionally installed so what is a rough estimate
of the labor fees im looking at?? ( does not have to be exact )

I'm 100 % serious on this........ i have the money in the bank just waiting to be paying for this awesome motor...
this is going to happen very soon so any help will be greatly appreciated
THANKS in advance

Re: sr20det help

the s-13 is a good choice as for prolonging the engine i say get the fmic and a good radiotor and after market fans to keep the car cool, as for a/c it does come with it, but you have to run all new lines to make it compatable with te lhd of the 240sx..

Labor should be between $1000-1500. The SR has A/C. While you have access to the engine, an aftermarket clutch/flywheel set is nice. For stock boost, the stock intercooler will do you fine. A nice radiator will help in engine life.

Really though, the swap requires patience and limited mechanical ability. I highly encourage trying the swap yourself, as everything is very straightforward. Check out the engine install FAQ from srswap.com.

Re: sr20det help

civicsedannonvtec : Interested in the SR Swap give me an e-mail at [email protected] and i'll get you a good price for the complete engine and labor. If you want a/c, it can be installed but at a minimal price (minimal price is for parts). If you're in Vegas, i can meet you somewhere and discuss the details with you.

Re: sr20det help

Do you have a preference in Brand name? Prices vary for different brands.

No not really...I'm just looking for intake , downpipe , and catback that gets the job done well , and is the lowest price possible without sacrificing function or reliability...
