Remote Control Not Working

I have 98 528i, recently I lost power to the radio, so I checked the fuses (25,43 & 44). I took them out tested them. During this process I heard a single beep. Now NONE of the remote control functions work. I can lock/unlock the door using the key just fine.

Needs some help on where I messed up. Tried the spare key and re-initializing, nothing has worked.

Thanks

Re: Remote Control Not Working

Nothing too serious hopefully; after strenous research on your problem this might be the soultion.
1. enter the vehicle and close all doors.
2. place key in the ignition.
3. turn the key to position one for about 3 seconds then return it to position zero.
4. hold down the button that you use to open the locks with (the one with the arrow) KEEP IT PRESSED DOWN.
5. rapidly press the button you would use to close the car and set the alarm system (3 times only).
Step 5 must be done within 10 seconds.
This sounds strange but it should work. Let me know.

Re: Remote Control Not Working

Thanks for the reply, I tried that and it didn't work. Come to find out it was a problem with the fuse.
