Fuel Injector upgrades, life expectancy

In checking various repairs/upgrades on a 92 Civic I went to Honda and found the OEM DX (B15B7 engine, 1.5l, 102HP) injector is the same part no. as the EX/SI injector (D16Z6 1.6l 125HP).

As I understand it, an identical fuel injector can deliver more fuel based on increased fuel pressure when it pulses (opens) or a longer duration pulse. Other than that, for more fuel you'd need a bigger orifice, all other things in the system remaining equal. These two motors ,with 23% or so difference in power use the same injector. Hows that accomplished ? Anybody know ?

Mine are OEM, got 145k miles on them, 11 years old. Do they 'wear out' ? I doubt the snake-oils ('cleaners') you add to your gas tank are presnet in adequate concentration to do ANYTHING as far as cleaning 'crud' in an injector. Can you remove and clean them, or for $84 (for Hondas) is it worth it to just toss them and replace them...? I've over time gradually had to adjust the idle speed as far as the adjustment screw will let me, its still idling a tad too slow, to the point of occasionally stalling at idle, with the AC on... May have nothing to do with the injectors but I gotta wonder...

How far (HP) can the stock Civic injectors go ? At what point do ya'll upgrade ? And to what ? If I spring for a new set of injectors it'd be nice to know they'll work now AND have some headroom for upgrades to this (or a swap out) motor. Maybe thats asking too much...
Thanks
Z
