quick timing question

hey guys. I just had a quick question. like 4 months ago i swapped the si engine into my dx. I didn't have any problems in the swap except the fact that it wont start....lol. anyways, i checked everything and everything was all good. but finely i just decided to check my compressoin and it was bad....

50psi 0psi 140psi 155psi

so apparently, my number 3 and 4 cylinders are toast...i don't know why tho cuz the motor ran like a gem before i pulled it. anyway....i just bought another dx motor. now i gotta swap in the dx block and head again but im going to retain the si mpfi and wiring.

my question is, is the timing between the dx and si engines the same? cuz im gonna put the si dizzy on the dx head and I just want to make sure that the timing is the same. I should now this and im almost 100% sure that the timing is the same between the two, but I just want to make sure...

thanx in advance guys.

you had 0 compression on a cylinder? I wouldnt just toss the engine right away, it doesnt seem like a cylinder or ring problem. I would think more like the valves are sticking or something, try a leakdown test.
