HELP PLEASE? HPI Micro Rs4

Please i need an opinion. My r/c car has stopped working. Being a begginer I recently purchased the RTR HPI Micro Rs4 with skyline body, at first it worked fine, and i was enjoying it, one day it just ceased. Dead as a doornail. The batteries are brand new, all the wires are connected properly and the control is full battery so can someone please tell me why my car will NOT WORK.

Any help is hugely appreciated.

you mean when you switch on the car it doesn't twitch at all? when the receiver receives voltage it usually twitches when you switch it on. those little cars get really jolted by pebles and undulations on the road, there must be a bad connection somewhere between the receiver and the battery.
I wonder also...is there a fuse on the speed control?

Re: HELP PLEASE? HPI Micro Rs4

No, no twitch at all, every so often i get the tiniest of twitch, but nothing happens. I have not yet run it on many roads, mainly timber floor and tiles. Could you tell me how i can check A) the connection and b) the fuse?

Thanks

use good brand aa's if your using the stock battery holders that come with the rtr. i had the same problem, i was using those 99cent AA's, and my micro barly moves, so try duracels or energizers.

Have just now tried and it works. Thanks heaps, I had no idea that the batteries would affect it that much, thanks heaps. Oh btw do you recomend I get a battery pack I have been thinking of it and its a toss up between an orion batt pack or a hpi pack, what do you think, its also quite expensive to ship anything out to aus which is annoying.

how much did it end up costing to upgrade it to 300, was that just the motor or other upgrades as well.

hmm... i probally spend over $300 including the charger , cuz i broght 3 more body's and other useless hopups. the only performance hop up was the wattage 370 (300motor), 13t pinion gear, and blind battery's.

k, i was thinking about getting another car only this time a bigger one, i was trying to decide between a $99US HPI Dash RTR or a $209US HPI Sprint RTR, i was sure how much more the sprint was worth getting i looked at the specs but although its all carbon fibre and racing moulded springs etc. is there any real advantage for a casual r/c driver.
