What do you mean simply pull it out and get a new one? My blinker (sound) goes on by itself once and awhile, especially just after the turn signal just goes off. Can you replace the blinker relay switch just by replacing the hazard light? Can you get the hazard light out just by pulling on it from the front, or do you somehow have to get in from the rear of the instrument panel?

Thanks.

Re: blinkers

DON'T DO ANYTHING YOURSELF - GM has issued a recall for this defect. Take it to your local OLDSMOBILE dealer and they'll get a new unit installed for you. This effects model years 1999 thru 2001. Check this out at the NHTSA's website. They list recalls and TSB's for your vehicle.
Good luck -
Jeremy

just so you know after speaking to gm only some of the Aleros are recalled for this wich is stupid since they all have the same switch you have to give them your vin to find out if your car is covered. only cars manufactured at certain plants get the recall based on the # of complaints they get. so in other words hang on to your reciets incase they do recall your vehicle. sometimes it helps to complain!
