Question for Danno SS

Quick question about what you earlier respond to me (Ls6 cam)...
I need to valve springs as well to complete this mod??? I am very interested in doing this your help would be greater appreciated. In the future i want to upgrade to many LS6 parts. One more question, on the same token wouldn't it be better for the same money to just upgrade to aftermarket or is OEM ls6 better, perhaps better daily.

Valve Springs are needed for this cam. It's got too much lift for the stock LS1 springs to handle. The OEM LS6 springs are cheaper than aftermarket springs, so that's why I got them. The good thing about the LS6 cam is its HP/$. I spent a total of $360 for cam, springs, gaskets, seals, and retainers. I bought all parts as a kit from PACE performance. After you install the CAM and spring you should up the rev-limiter to 6500 or 6600 RPMs and adjust your shift points if you have an A4. The CAM peaks at ~6200 RPM but doesn't offer any gains over the LS1 cam until 4000RPM. Hope the info helps.

P.s the part number for LS6 springs is 12565313.
