97 cluster swap

my 97 doesnt have a tach. i was wondering if i got a diff cluster with a tach if it would work or am i just wasting my time?

Yes, get another Neon cluster with a tach in it. Swap over your odometer if you like and install it in. Easy as that. Most all Neons, except some early 1995 models already have the tach wire installed in the harness from the factory, even if the car came with a tach-less cluster.

yep the tach cluster will fit just fine. i went the other way with mine. a friend did not have a tach in his and i did so we swapped that way i could install my autometer monter tach with shift light. his car was a 96 and mine a 98 so going from 95 to 99 should all work fine. check e-bay or a junk yard. should be able to find one for under 50
