1992 acura integra

Hey guys. i'm new to the honda/acura scene, and i want to build my first car. I'm looking at a 1992 integra with 170k on the body and trans (manual, of course). The car has coil overs installed, as well as a new motor. Now here is what i am confused about. The motor the guy has installed in a B16 japan spec engine. Is the B16 Vtec or non Vtec. If i'm not mistaken, the original engine for this car would have been the LS non-vtec motor (1.8 Liter) right? Or would it be a B18? I'm a little unclear of how the honda engine naming works. If someone could explain it, that'd rock. Also, the guy is asking 3 grand for this car. Is that a good price. I was also considering getting an integra with the stock motor and either doing a vtec conversion or turbocharging. Which would be the better option, and where the hell could i find a turbo kit for the stock integra motor? Thanks for all the help guys.

Re: 1992 acura integra

the stock engine is a b18 a or b for 94 n' up...which yes is a non vtec...the b16 is a vtec...overall i would say that the teg is a good deal...i paid 3300 for my g2 n it still had the b18a in it...(non-vtec incase u were confused)...lol..now as to do a vtec conversion its already vtec if it has the b16....turbo that shit n boom! u gots a real teg....
