Heated Seat problem

It appears the heating element on the drivers side bottom has gone out. The back warms up but the bottom quit working.

My problem is that I'm not the most technically inclined so I don't know how to fix this problem because I don't know what the heating element looks like. I'm guessing I have to completely remove the seat to get to it? Can someone help me to identify the heating element from the rest of the wires and stuff that run the electric seats.

Thanks,

Alesis89

I had the same problem with my 2000 Deville. My understanding is the heating element is part of the seat skin and is not repairable. GM had a add on element that went under the seat, but it took over 10-15 min to really (inadequately) heat up. After several wrong parts and attempts, I finally told them I wanted a new seat. They installed a new skin with the OEM heating element which has worked fine. For each repair attempt, they sent the seat to an upholstery shop for the installation.
