Selling 944

THIS IS NOT AN AD. I have no idea how much I should/could sell my 944 Porsche (non turbo). I looked on AutoTrader.com and Kelly Blue book but the price ranges vary so much (high of 12K to low of 3K).

I have been a proud Porsche owner since I bought this excellent car in 1991 (it has 34K miles on it in 1991). I never had any problems with the car--the only thing I had to do was replace the starter motor, replaced the gas shocks for the hood, re-sealed the engine, and replace the timing belt at 60K miles. It has 68K miles on it now.

The exterior and interior are mint (no smokers), no tears in the leather seats. It has original paint, phone dial wheels, newer style interior (Porsche updated the interior in late 1987), everything is stock (no mods), black leather seats, sun roof, power everything.

Not that this matters when figuring the price but I thought it would be cool to mention. I installed two alarm systems on it. The first alarm protects the car from theft "Immobilizer" which disables the starter, ignition coil, engine control computer and fuel pump. The second alarm is a convenience alarm (Code Alarm Elite Competition-4 button remote). Button #1 locks the doors, rolls up both windows and closes the sun roof and arms the alarm (siren/impact sensor). Button #2 pops the hatch. Button #3 opens the sun roof. Button #4 closes the sun roof.

So what is a 1988 944 with 68K miles worth? (high and low range)

Thanks,
Mike

I own an '84 with 50k on it and it's pristine. I was offered $8k. The 944 market is all over the boards. The latest issue of Excellence magazine has a market update. Might want to check it out...
Side note, what are the two alarms you installed and how much? Only for '88s?

I am going to sell the 944 and pay off my Mercedes.

I installed the following alarms:
Code Alarm Elite Competition - active, 4 button remote - $249.00
Immobilzer - passive - $200.00
