Chevy Man venting about my chevy

i HATE it when people tell me 2000 SIlverado is not Heavy Duty. Just because something is not clear on the side of the vehicle on a little plastic badge does not mean it isnt what i say it is. I Know that the Silverado HD did not come out until 2001, but the HD is a model. In earlier years it wasnt called HD it was Heavy Duty which is a packeage.there is a difference in HD and Heavy Duty. Ignorant people piss me off when they talk shit. I drove like 60 miles to help a friends friend move. This guy i have never met, he asked me about my truck and i told him it was a Heavy Duty and he said uh-uh it doesnt say on the door. we ended up arguing over it and i was like fu*k you dude and left with some of his boxes still in my truck. the same thing happened a few weeks ago when i raced this kid in a trans am and kicked his ass he asked me what it had and i told him the 6.0 and he said he didnt know that engine came in Silverados and i told him it did in Heavy Duty and on and on it went ( he was propably pissed cause i just smoked his ass) anyway if you see a guy in a silverado and he says it is Heavy Duty he propably knows what he is talking about so stfu!

Thanks. BP2K2Max, what kind of car do you drive? This stuff wouldnt get to me so bad if it didnt happen alot. It pisses me off especially at parts store or the recent suspension shop. The guy at the shop told me my truck wasnt Heavy Duty but said my suspension wasnt the same as other 2000 models. NO SHIT!!!! Its Heavier suspension hence the name HEAVY DUTY!

Whats your vin number I'll email your GM Vehicle build sheet that says it has F44 Heavy duty suspension. If of course it indeed does have it. Not saying it doesn't believe me I take your word for it. You could also just buy the plates for the doors they are only like 15 bucks.

i'm not trying to put down your situation, but so long as you're happy with your car and you know it's capabilities no one else's opinion matters. as for the parts guy tell him the customer is always right and if he can't accept that then you'll have take your business elsewhere.

BTW i dont know if you guys have or have driven one of these with the 6.0 but they are bad!! i put flows, K&N FIPK and pulled my screen out and i raced a stock ws6 the other day and ate his lunch. i got such a jump on this guy he didnt have a chance catching up.

My, uh, father drives an 89 Silverado Z71... says it's rated at 725 horsepower at the wheels (modded of course... I've driven it once or twice...those fuckers have some low end. Nice truck man!
