Question Need Blazer Help???

Hey everyone, how ya doing? Well my 96 s-10 blazer 4.3 died friday, going like 5 mph it just cut off, tryed starting back, and it would turn over but not start up, it would turn over so many times then just stop, and start back again. My chevy dealer said it souded like timing chain jumped, so fixed that and still no go, good fuel pressure and have spark, kinda orange instead of blue, but enough to start im sure cause now its backfiring through intake and exhaust at same time while turning over. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!Have checked the timing over and over, and it checks out, is there anything electrical that could cause this thing to do what happened?Just also replaced cam sensor, still no luck.

check lifter ,push rods, and cam , if it is backfiring then it is a valve or timing prolbem . but my personal guess would be lifters and cam.

Are you sure you didnt install the timing chain 180 degress off? Was the engine definately at TDC when you installed the chain? If not it would cause all kinds of problems. Specifically the ones you described.
