Changing engine on my lancer....

Hi, I have a 2003 Lancer ES, I was wondering If I could take out my engine and replace it with an Evo's, I'd like to know around how much it would cost too thanks. and if tahts not possible how can i get my lancer to hit 230-270 horsepower thanks.

yes its possible, i'm running an evo 5 engine in my 96 mirage coupe. depending on which evo engine you use (evo 4-8) and where you are situated in this world? expect between $5-15,000 to do it! but htats only fwd, 4wd add another $5-10,000

Im situated in Florida and is there anyway to keep it auto instead of changing my transmission to stick Im new to cars and I just got mine so Im trying to find out all I need to know

hmm, not worth it for the evo engine man,try and track down a 1.8l dohc turbo 4G93 engine from a gsr with an auto box,be cheaper then the evo
