Better than the Hypertech programmer?

Has any one here heard about the ls1 editor or the predetor. I was looking in another forum and a couple of guys said that these two products are better than the hypertech programer. I was wondering if any one had any knowledge over these programers. What about the price?

.

I honestly don't know anything about the ls1 edit but the hypertech is a damn good programmer. It's not just for getting more hp either, if you change your wheels or gears you can program it so your spedometer works properly, so you're not going any faster then what your instruments read to you.

Re: Better than the Hypertech programmer?

anybody know why those hypertech programmers wouldnt work on the v-6's? i understand that for air/fuel and timing they wouldnt work, but what about changing shift points or removing the speed limiter. are the computers really that different or is the hypertech thing really that specific. how would it know the difference between the engines on something general as a speed limiter...

Re: Better than the Hypertech programmer?

To be honest, I haven't heard many good things about the HPP's on Fbodies. Ask around on camaroz28.com or fbody.com, and you'll see, they are considered garbage by most...

try this guy if you really want some high quality custom tuning done...

http://www.pcmforless.com

If you send him a few datamaster logs, he'll be able to get you very close to the results of a full dyno tune...
