Question can you convert a early model ranger to 4x4??

i was just wondering. i might get one so can you convert a early model ranger to 4x4???

i'm sure you can, you'd have to get a transfer case, and swap the front with a solid axle if it's an older model. those aren't too bad i don't think, but you might have to get custom drive shafts made, and that's expensive. you'll also have to do some work to the interior to get the 4x4 shifter in there. so to answer your question, it can be done, but it's expensive.

Yeah, they say you're better off buying an older 4x4 than going from 4x2 to 4x4. Not only expensive but it sounds like a nightmare to convert.
