Unhappy Help with 1998 SS Camaro

I am looking to getting a 1998 SS Camaro and I found one for 13900. It has about 60000 miles on it and it's silver. But I asked the guy if it had a monsoon radio and cd player and he said he doesn't think so. He said that he didn't think the raido said monsoon on it like the 2002 Z28 they also had. But I was confused, I though that the SS's had the monsoon stock. Do the 1998 SS's have monsoon stereos stock or were they an option? I want the 8 speakers and I though that all SS's had them. Also, is that a good deal for a 1998 SS (13900)? If not, what should I try and talk him down too?

Not sure if it's a great deal or not, but with what you know of the car, plug it into nada.com and figure out what blue book on it is.

Monsoon stereos were an option, they were not the norm...

Re: Help with 1998 SS Camaro

its a good deal i payed 14500 for my 99 ss it had 57000 miles on it. the reason i know its is a good deal is a dealer told me he would give me fifteen for the car a few days later. i say it definately sounds good. and about the stereo im not sure because my car had an after market stero in it when i purchased it but every SS i have ever seen came with monsoon

That sucks... I was hoping that the guy just didn't know what he was talking about. Well I gotta go take a look at the car tomarrow and see what's really in the car. All i really want are the eight speaker though because I got my own stuff to put in. How many speakers are in it if it doesn't have the monsoon

I think I might just go ahead and get it because I have 2 12's, 2 amps, and a clarion tv/dvd player that I'm gonna put in. So I don't thing that just because of the radio I shouldn't get it........ Or should I....... I don't know. I'll just go see it and make my decision tomorrow based upon how much I can talk him into letting me get the car for. My goal is paying 12500-13000. I never pay asking price!
