leaky windows

I dont know if this happens to other people but it seems like my car doesnt seal when doors or hatch is closed. What I mean by this is when it rains or I wash my car my seats get wet and in the back my subs have condesation on them. Its really bad I hadnt payed much attention to it until I lifted the board and exposed my spare tire and noticed I had about a 4-6 in puddle sitting under the tire. Does any one know what this is. I noticed that my window on my drivers side doesnt seal completely but I dont see how that could make it that bad.

Re: leaky windows

It sounds like you need new whether stripping. Never happened to me, but that's what it sounds like.

Re: leaky windows

yup. If you can lock your doors, then they shut properly and your weather stripping is done. You can get new stripping for about 90 bucks. that should fix your problem. if not, it's time to start hand washing your car. then whipe it up afterwards. Good luck

$1100?!?! holy shit! i never thought it would be that much, i was told it is like 7 or 800 for a whole new top. i also have a spyder, its a 97 GS and it leaks some in the rain as well... i was hoping to get that fixed come this spring, but if it is gonna cost 1100 then i will just drive my beater when the rain comes. good lord people get away with murder these days...
