Well it starts like this... A friend and I are in my Grand National heading toward Willow Knolls to pick on the kids with rice. (Anyone from peoria knows where I'm talking about.) Anyway, as we are heading out on war memorial drive between target and willow knolls when this vette is behind me swerving back and fourth. Well when traffic clears he backs way off and then just floors it trying to shot gun me. I guess he thought we where racing NASCAR style . Anyway, I was rolling about 40 MPH in OD by the time I see him pull up on my rear bumper I floor it. I look over and I see him and his girl sittin there looking at me. Next thing I see is my boost gauge hitting 24PSI and just leaving that vette behind. We met up later that night at emos and he could not beleve that my car was a six. This was one of the better "races this summer."

Re: GN vs. 50th annv. vette
Great kill. This is off topic but I want to give some due respect to Hypsi here for something. Look at his his signature and tell me what stands out. He mentions his time on race gas and slicks....but he ALSO mentions the time he pulls in street trim.
That shows a level of class IMO that is sadly lacking in some circles. Too many guys are running around qouting hp numbers and e.t.'s that are in full race mode on gas that might work in a F-4 Phantom jet fighter, but then citing them as though they were "street" times. Integrity is always welcome in my book. Sorry to get off topic, but I thought this was a good example of "keeping things real" so to speak. |

Nice job, love those GN's! I ran 12.6@112 on street tires, still working on 11's in race trim (slicks, no front sway, 110 octane and full timing).

You should bring the GN up to Charleston this summer, and run it against some of the guys up here. There's a lot of good competition in this part of IL, not sure what it's like down there. You could also run it against the Parkland Motorsports 80' Malibu, runs about the same as your GN.
