Under the intake manifold. Fairly involved job for most people.

Another forum had a discussion about this. Someone there said that

I changed mine in about an hour and a half...I liked it better than going under the car like my 70 455.

My starter went ka-put too.
Finally got my nerve up to change it, it was not a bad job, but come to find out, the end of the starter were the out side bearing is housed, completely broke off, I mean the complete nose was laying on top of the flywheel, it was still in one big piece. Is this normal? |
