Post Gas Milage Reports

Alright, it's time for the ultimate question: What is your Blazer's gas milage like? If you don't know city/highway, just do the average (miles/tanksize). Also list your engine/year/miles. This could be quite interesting and helpful or just plain embarassing.

1998 Chevy Blazer 4.3L City 13 to 15 Highway 17 to 19. Tell me that doesn't suck. Going to Vermont in 3 weeks, will post mileage results when I get back.

1988 5.7L automatic 350 4x4

in 4high I get about 2 mpg
in 4low I get about .5 mpg
in 2high I get about 9-10 mpg
in 2high on the highway about 12-13 mpg

3inch lift, 33inch tires, holley carb, K&N Airfilter

I use about a tank a week I'd say ... to fill my tank with normal unleaded is 44$ or so here in DFW.

1993 vortec s-10 blazer 220,000 miles
19 gallon gas tank
19-21 mpg highway
15-17 mpg city
everthing is stock, regular tune ups and maintenance.
also carrying 100 pounds of tools and a box with 2 12's in it.
My truck does pretty well for how many miles it has on it.

1998- 4.3, 80,000, 18 gallon tank, mostly interstate driving doing 75 mph, averaging between 18 and 19 mpg. During the the colder weather and some 4hi driving I was averaging about 14.

Re: Gas Milage Reports

1) Fill up your tank
2) Reset Trip Meter
3) Drive for however long you want
4) Go back to the gas station and fill up, again.
5) Write down how many gallons you put in (ex. 9 gal.)
6) Take your trip meter miles and divide that by how many gallons you put in. That's the average mpg you get.

Re: Gas Milage Reports

Gregg...
Milage varies 12 to 24...
If you are getting...bad...gas milage...
200 per tank...something is wrong...
i.e. leaky internal fuel lines...
leaky fuel pressure regulator
