what is the best exhaust system for LS Power
Can someone tell me what is the best aftermarket exhauist system for the 2000 Lincoln LS. I am also assuming that you have to change it from the headers back. I also would like to know how much of a power increase to expect with some dyno numbers to prove it and also what is the noise like. I dont want to much noise.

Magnaflow
Borla McLaren Some have bigger pipes, while others have less bends. All seem to be close to the same price and hp increase. On the LLSOC board they posted the 'sound' of each system.

I think the Magnaflow catback adds about 10 RWHP. I've seen the charts and my butt agrees
 As delivered, the Magnaflow's noise is noticable but not offensive...about like a factory Mustang GT. Add some tips to get the sound out of the rear valence and you'll be happy, I bet.

Thanks Gorman for the feedback. Do you have any pictures of your car with the installed pipes and also of the engine compartment that shows the new headers. If you have some of the botton of the car that would also be greatly appreciated.
I also wanted to ask you again about the power. You say that you definitely notice the increase in power. Are you sure that it is a definite 20HP increase. Viper Quote:

I don't have any pics. I'm not SURE it's 10 rwhp but it is just enough to be noticed. Not a dramatic power adder, though. The intake kit actually revealed more power then the Maggies... The system is a cat-back: factory cats and exhaust manifolds. I haven't yet run across any headers fo the LS. www.magnaflow.com has a picture of the system.
