This is about exhaust for a 1986 z-28 305 4bbl 5 speed blah blah blah. So on my last post someone mentioned the gmmg chambered exhaust. I like it, watched the video and like that roar. It's much better than sounding like a 5.0 with the RPM series I have on now. Thing is.... $700? Any other chambered systems out there that either arent stainless, or are just about.... well 1/2 as cheap? Just cat-back. I dont plan on dealing with headers. Ill replace the cat with a length of pipe after i can get it to pass MA emissions. Lemme know what you guys think. I dont wanna hear nothing about flowmaster or any of that. I want my American built car to sound like an American built car. I want it to hear the gurgle, not muffle it....

Re: Exhaust for the Z
first off, whats wrong with flowmaster????? second off, great choice with the GMMG sound as the one you like, i wish i could afford it too. as far as someone else having it, none that i have ever seen. what you could do, is see how much a shop would charge to make a custom system using two replacement pinched tube resonators like GMMG use. just take em pictures and ask how much they would charge to make it. probly less than the GMMG system. i brought up the idea of a group buy a little while ago, but in order to get the half price deal, we would have to get alot of people on board, and i just dont see that happening.
