When I step on the brake, the brake pedal is pulsing and steering wheel is shaking. They happen more violently when speed goes up. However, the steering wheel won't shake at any speed at all when brake is not applied. I recently changed the front rotors and pads, but didn't cure the problem. But yesterday I found out the R/R wheel bearing was loose and also the rear rotors surface are scored badly. Today I try to replace the bearing, rotors and pads but could not find a right size socket to remove the axle nut(probably 36mm 12 points). Am I guessing right? What do you guys think that is the bearing the root cause? I am in doubt because I think the steering wheel shaking is always related to front end like front suspension, front brake and steering and tires. Thanks for helping !!!

Re: 97 528I Steering wheel shaking
have a brake test done on a rolling road to see which corner the vibration is coming from.(this should show in a fluctuation of brake effort)not unknown for new rotors to be faulty.or fitting poorly.
