Looking for a Jack kit
I am looking for a jack kit. I got a used '03 Taco' Extracab and it is missing the jack kit. Anyone have one to sell? Any ideas where I may get one? Need the jack handle, lug wrench, and kit bag.

Re: Looking for a Jack kit
I prefer a Hi-Lift jack for off-road or baja. ~$50. a little bulky, but doubles as a winch/come-along. I don't mount it to a bumper or roof racks-- I slide the 'walking' mechanism off, spray it down good with WD-40, wrap with towel, and store in the cubbie behind the passenger seat. then put the walking bar anywhere. it comes together in seconds.
another handy add-on is the Jack-Mate. makes a better foot for the Hi-Lift, and turns it into a 'jaws of life' emergency extraction devise (rips cars apart), as well as other applications. you can go the full distance with a couple shackles and a tow strap. |

I do have a high lift with a mount for in the bed. I will try your idea of removing the mechanism to inside the cab. Great idea with the humidity here. I want the factory kit to keep in the truck for on road tire changes and such.
