1994 Dodge Spirit
I love the gocart feel and tightness compared to my Buick Lesabre but i have issues with it. Here it goes, its a 2.5l n/a and its ok for what it is but its still kinda pokey. Iv done all the lil things to spruce it up but is it at all possible to get more out of this n/a engine? I do have a 86 Laser XT sitting in a pole barn but its crusty, bad ecm or what ever the computer is called and it had the piston slap noise but when rebuilt they looked fine. The xt was rebuilt but i just got sick of it not running right so it rots now,new top end, turbo. I dont want to swap, though i heard its easy.what do you think??

Re: 1994 Dodge Spirit
How bout this,if a turbo in fact raises compression, could i just use the head, intake, turbo from my 86 on my 94 spirit.I know i would need all wiring, will the a413 hold up to low boost? The commen block is built to take moderate boost right? Gus is missed..

From what I've heard, the common block is the strongest block to use with a turbo. The pre-88(?) turbo blocks had a tendency to twist above 300 horsepower
I don't know about your other questions, though. If you have some spare time, check out www.thedodgegarage.com. Gary Donovan has all the info you could ever think of needing about Chrysler turbo engines.
