IS 200/IS300-what's the difference, will IS200 TRD and TTE parts fit the IS300
Okay, I feel really dumb asking this, but I am curious. I have been surfing the TRD Japan and TTE sites, and noticed they listed the cars Altezza/IS200. Then here at AF, the forum is "IS 200/IS300." This has me wondering, what is the difference betweent he 2, or is there, other than the IS200 seems to be in Europe and the IS300 here. I am curious, because I have found very few TRD or TTE parts for an "IS300," but have found quite a few for the "IS200." Again, sorry to ask (i feel really dumb asking this question), but I have been looking for what the differences are so I know what I am looking at on the TRD and TTE sites and haven't had much luck yet.

There are 3 models to the IS series.
Two models have inline 6 engine and one has inline 4. Both IS 200 / 300 are equipped with inline 6, making 155 / 215 hp Then there is the RS 200, available in right hand drive only, equipped with inline 4 VVTL-i, making 210 hp |

Okay, so I understand the difference a bit more now. So I am guessing not all parts for the IS200 would fit on the IS300? Engine, exhaust I am guessing would not. Maybe body components, suspension, and brakes would? Sorry to ask the questions, but now that I know the difference, I am trying to figure out which IS200 TRD Japan and TTE parts might or might not work on an IS300. TTE and TRD Japan don't list anything about the IS300, only the IS200, and TRD USA has only a small IS300 collection of parts. I'm pretty sure the wheel offests are the same (though not positive), so I am guessing that would interchange with the IS300. TRD Japan and TTE have some nice black and bronze rims. Beyond that, I have seem some nice things, but am not really sure what IS200 parts from them I could use on the IS300. I am guessing the Inline 6's are different a big, and that intakes, exhuast, internals, etc won't interchange...I don't know...I suppose I am just guessing at this point. Thanx for the info though. If anyone can offer any help as to what might/might not fit, I'd appericate it .

Re: IS 200/IS300-what's the difference, will IS200 TRD and TTE parts fit the IS300
This is an old thread, but just to clear something up here, incase anyone else is looking:
IS200 - 1GFE engine, inline 2 litre 6 cylinder. An old block, with new tricks (VVTi). Around 200nm torque, but only 118kw, mostly above 5000rpm. This car is sold in Japan as the AS200. IS300 - 2JZGE, inline 3 litre 6 cylinder, an NA version of the Mk4 Supra motor. Completely different to the IS200 motor, and produces more power, but is noticeably heavier also. This car is sold in Japan as the AS300. RS200 - Japan only model, powered by the 3SGE BEAMS, a special edition of the 3SGE engine with high compression and lightened internals. Produces similar torque to the AS200 motor, but alot more power (~157kw) high in the rev range. Feels similar to a Honda motor to drive/hear. For interests sake: The Altezza is available in Japan (and Europe, and US??) as a wagon, the Sportcross. Also sold in Japan with a 4WD drive train option, and you can even custom order with the 2JZGTE Mk4 twin turbo supra motor.
