Question fujimi JDM ITR

Ive been wanting to build this kit, and put the revell ITR motor in it, but i havent seen any of these completed. Has anyone built this kit? and if so, pics? or comments on it?

There a lot of nice ones that were built on the forum. Do a search, and you should find it. This is one of my favorite Fujimi kits. I own four of them myself, three which are already built. Like yourself, my fourth one will also have an Revell motor.

The only problem I ever noticed was that the suspension lays too high, and the interior detail is poor.

i havent been able to compare the motor to the fujimi kit, but it wouild still seem to be cooler than a curbside.

honoturtle, you have 4 of the mugen ones? (the $27 one)

If you throw a considerable amount of engine wiring in there, and kind of space out the battery and brake booster and the radiator and whatnot not exactly accurately, but close and a little tighter, you should be able to hide the fact that the motor and the car aren't the same scale. I don't know if that will work in practice, but that's my plan on an upcoming engine swap. Minimize the discrepencies and in this case, go for the overall effect more than absolute accuracy (oh! how it pains me to say that).

No, currently I don't have any Mugen ones. But I'll list time ones I have:
- Inch Up (Includes Work Meisers)
- Young Town (Includes Nismo rims, asst. exhaust, racing seat, etc.)
- SiR-G (Lower model, dosen't include Recaros, Type R lip, spoiler, or rims.)
- Special Edition (Includes extra spoiler.)

My brother on the other hand has:
- Mugen (Rims, bumpers, sidesteps, spoiler, decals)
- Spoon (decals, rims, lip.)
- Apex'i Racing (interior tub, seat, roll-cage, decals, and other racing pieces.)

Re: fujimi JDM ITR

The interior detail on the Fujimi kit BLOWS.

I snapped you a couple pics.

Even though the Revell motor is smaller than the Fujimi chassis, the Fujimi wheel wells are so over-sized that you'll have to hack up the entire front end to get it to fit. Using the Revell engine bay (including the work it would need to space it out to fit) would probably be easier...

In this pic, I've removed the molded-in engine bottom from the Fujimi chassis.

Re: Re: fujimi JDM ITR

jay, I want to see more progress on that kit.

I myself, have put a motor in my fujimi ITR (non-mugen) it's a chrysler v6, the revell itr, looked wack. and the stealths bay fit right into place.
