Pretty interesting, Although the Dodge Omni was tuned by Shelby if I'm not mistaken.

The Omni GLH (Goes Like Hell) wasn't a joke, pretty potient little cars. But pretty rare, I don't remember the last time I saw one.

Yeah, and the neat part is that the Omni looks like a dinky little econobox! I saw one at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum with just over 8,000 actual miles. I like my Shelby Lancer better though- same powerplant, just more luxurious.

Nope, at least he didn't do anything to the mechanical bits. The engine was designed, built and tuned by Chrysler and the transmission was designed by Chrysler and built by Getrag of Germany. That is the way it was with all the Turbo Dodges, Chryslers, and Plymouths. Shelby simply put the powerplant in cars that Chrysler wasn't. Also, any car with the Turbo II, III, and IV is pretty rare. I think there were only about 500 GLH cars produced each year. I will have one for my Auto-X project.
