AVI files, wth

i can't play .avi files at all

Windows Media, RealOne, or even Quiktime won't play them

is there a player i could download from sumwhere so i could play em

help's appreciated

You probably have avi files encoded in DivX which is why they can't play them. Go to http://www.divx.com/ to download and install the DivX video codec. Media Player should be able to play them afterwards.

grab yourself a klite codec pack, best ever, with no adware/spyware.

On top of that there is a quicktime alternative and real time alternative without bloatware and spyware.

Who-ever wrote this did one hell of a good job, the decoding and non bloatware/spyware makes this thing very efficient in decoding and quality is amazing.

Windows media should play AVI's unless its a DIVX specific. Try updating WMP, this should give you the proper codec to watch AVIs.

that's what i have. i haven't downloaded a vid yet that media player couldn't play.
