Question Performance Chips

Are performance chips worth the money? I've heard some good, but mostly bad things about these so-called performance enhancers. Just wondering if anyone has installed one in their Silverado and seen a significant performance increase.

Re: Performance Chips

I did the jet power tech chip and the hypertech you do get some increse in power and no increse in gas milege. Stock it ran 17 in the quarter with the hypertech it ran 15.53 at 89 mph I have the time slips and video to prove it.

Re: Performance Chips

yeah, I was wondering also, does anyone know a "good" shift point? I really dont know what to set mine at. I think they are now at 1-2: 3mph 2-3: 6mph and 3-4: 10mph

Re: Re: Performance Chips

Wester's ECM is the best out there IMHO, its proven to be the best performance, and has a lifetime upgrade (if you do different mods), or if you buy a new truck your can transfer to the new truck (for Free - shipping and handling costs)

Email me for more details.
