Need immediate help with the targa top...

I just got a 1984 944 and the previous owner said that he had removed the relays in the trunk for the sunroof latch motor because it would open and close on its own while driving. I manually disengaged the locks, but now I can't get the roof to manually lock back into place. I followed the instructions in the owner's manual, which says to remove the adjustment screw then use a philips head screwdriver (counterclockwise) in the hole where the adjustment screw was. Problem is, there is nothing in there for the screwdriver to catch onto. Please help...I don't want rain to get in my car.
