Those damn computers

I'm still researching the swap, been lookin at this for a while, the computers might not be the same, so to do the swap is gonna be a little bit triccky. best advice, by a wrecked eclipse 1st gen. Pull the motor, tranny, comp, and awd drivetrain, and have somefun.

Yesseriebob

That is what I have is an OZ. It handles a little less than that of a sports car, but, I have added a custom strut tower bar, bigger front and rear anti sway bars, and in the near future, Eibach coil overs. With only the sway bars and strut tower bars, cheap mods I might add, the car now handles like a rally car, as soon as I get the Eibach springs on there, and lower it an inch. Any lower than that, and you just took the rally out of the car, the ground clearance is a must, The OZ has as much clearence as Suburu Limited Ed. Legacy Outback, they only built 5000. I was looking at one and almost bought it, until I drove the Lancer. I was asstonished at the clearence on the lancer. So lowering it an inch, will make it more stable, and give it a greater appearence. I hope.

It does all right

The first thing I did, was take a test drive, I got the model I was after but ion a color i did not like, I slammed it through all the gears. It's greates excelleration is from 3000 rpm to 5200 rpms, after that it lets off a little. I was down about the low end rev, but it has a lot of potential. After market bolt on engine mods are on the way, thanks to the people who visit this forum and myself. All three models available are the same motor. weight is about the same. With two people in the car, no prob sinking the needle past the 130 mph mark, takes a little distance, but doable. I took a trip yesterday and had four people in the car and a lot of snow gear in the trunk, the worst enemy to this car is weight. Not understanding physics and stuff like that, but the more people and junk in the trunk, the more weight you add, the slower you go. Five people in the car, who are they kidding, not a chance. So as for quick and aggile, yes, all out balls to the walls speed, not yet, need more HP, but hey, thats what we do right, add HP. The more HP the better(heres where we do the Tim The Tool Man Taylor Grunt)...
So by the car or wait for the EVO.
