98 suburban battery drain problem. Any ideas

My 98 suburban battery drains to the point it won't start after a couple of hours. It has a new alternator in Dec 03, and a new battery at the same time. Jumps easy and runs great afterwards, but dies again after it sits a couple of hours. I've checked all the light switches and everything I can think of. The alternator is charging fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

After you shut off your vehicle, unplug the oil pressure sender, its at the back of the engine to the drivers side of the distributor, I am fairly sure this has 12v to it all the time and can energize your fuel pump, just plug it back in before you start it again

On my 97, a similar battery draining problem turned out to be the underhood light staying on when the hood was closed. It's sort of hard to detectby watching as the hood is colsing, so try removing the bulb for a while.

You can also try disconnecting the alternator for a while and see if that could be it. If diodes pop in them, they will drain the battery.

After spending over $300 for the dealer to look at my 97' Suburban - I looked up on this website and sure enough the rear blower is what was causing my truck to drain the battery - really annoying spending money and having nothing to show for it... I left it unplugged - three separate connections needed to be pulled.
