Will this car run 13's?
Will a 1994 mustang gt (auto) vert run 13's with the following mods 3:73 gears,shift kit,Torque Converter,Flowmaster exhaust,h pipe,headers,Cai,pulleys,posi,Timing at 14,and a cobra intake?
Around how much hp will this car be giving out at the engine and wheels? |

Well, wouldnt they run like high 15's or low 16's stock. Ewww...
I think maybe mid 14's to low 14's. Probably not 13's. A 215 hp automatic convertable just......hmmmm.....

I would believe it would if you could hook up right. Put some slicks on before you race then deff.

Re: Will this car run 13's?
Not even a chance you'll see 13's with those little mods! I say maybe mid to low 14's at best.
For hp with those mods, I saw you will have about 230-240 at the flywheel.

And a pretty good place to find used parts like that would either be on here, a mustang forum, or EBAY. P.S. I might be sounding stupid by saying this but, how can you have a CAI, AND, an intake off a cobra? I just dont understand...

1, auto 2, vert 3, heavy SN95 body style. Stock that car is going to run probably mid 15's with a good driver. The mods he listed are great starters, just not enough to push that car into the 13's. A properly selected stall converter, 3.73's and shift kit will definitely help in acceleration, and will help him break into the 14's for sure. Then there's the potential hp mods. The biggest one will be the complete exhaust freeing up the most hp then the others listed. Pulleys will free up a few more pony's, but nothing noticeable. CAI, won't do a damn thing! And a Cobra intake, may add a few more horses, but it won't be too much with the rest of the induction still stock. Quote:

Re: Will this car run 13's?
While the SN-95 body style is 'heavier', the 94 style still wasnt as boxy as the '99-up style. With those mods and that motor (which I believe is the same motor as the '90-93 if i'm not wrong?), I'd say low 14s or if you're lucky high 13s with slicks and some good launches.
That being said, the flowmaster is good for 'rumble' but not as much power as magnaflow, and find out if the H-Pipe is catted or not, or if its factory even. I'm running 14.1 on my '01 GT Convertible with auto, and my mods are a programmer, K&N filter, and minimum of 93 octane, regular street tires. But I was also running 14.48 stock. I'm pushing 225hp at the wheels if that helps you. For power the best thing to do is take it out to a dyno and have it checked since it looks like you're buying this, and the dyno runs cost a max of $80 anyways. Gagan |
