Question GS-T Spyder faster than GS-T!?!

Edmunds.com claim the GS-T spyder (3000lbs.+) has a 0-60 time of 6.4. It also claims that it has 210 hp, and 205 ft/lbs. of torque.

Now, the same website claims the GS-T hardtop weighs LESS than 3000lbs., has 210 hp and 214 ft/lbs of torque, and runs 0-60 in 6.5.

It also says the GSX weighs like 3270, and only does 0-60 in 6.7. How?

Re: GS-T Spyder faster than GS-T!?!

it would seem that 1/10th of a second could come down to many things. driver, air temp [for turbo], whoever is timing, etc. logic would say GSX > GS-T > Spyder. but being a Spyder owner, i have to say that this test is completely right and [stock] i'm faster than you all

Spyder is heavier, that's all there is. It's not as fast.

Re: GS-T Spyder faster than GS-T!?!

thanks for the props!! well, although i have never raced on a real track, i am led to believe i can pull mid 13's or so. i would say i have spent close to 5k in performance mods, not including cosmetics like rims, or suspension. i would also say that i could have done it cheaper with different brands, but i am happy with what i got, and since i have no respect for a dollar [what my g/f says] i don't mind the prices. with the LSD [1200] turbo [1500] and fuel tuning [2k] i want i'm sure i could break into the 12's. since it's a FWD, i don't have a comment about 11's. there is a local track that runs wed nights every week [unless it's raining, that's so-cal for you] around me that i have been meaning to go to for a long time, but i don't want to go untill i'm sure that i am REALLY fast for what i got.

Re: GS-T Spyder faster than GS-T!?!

You would have to be the worlds biggest pussy to run 6.7 with a GSX. The poeple driving in these tests are driving like its a FWD car. You need to launch that bitch, and this is why I never trusted any of the performance numbers posted for the GSX. The GST vs spyder could be driver difference, and the weather and other things mentioned above. But the GSX discrepancy can only be one thing. Big pussy.
