1994 firebird

hi this is my first post here but i ive been looking for a firebird for the past month i want to get a 1994 firebird but its a v6 and i want a v8 lt1 engine in it my question is can i swap engines take out the v6 and put in the v8 lt1 engine and what work is all needed to do this any help thanks

Search the Forum. There are alot of those threads, with answers. But as far as know, you need to change the motor mounts, cpu, and I was told that a v8 would bolt right up to the 6 trans (got the same one) but I might be wrong...

i looked and i found a post that said they will fit..... is the firebird with the v6 the same exact chassis body and everything else the same as the v8 lt1 just with a bigger motor?

# of gears (6 speed, 5 speed), suspention, tires. And don't know many minor things past that.

so its mostly the suspension from the extra weight and tires to get as good grip as the v6 and stuff like that
