Do you still have the other lenses?

If so, you can make a mould from them (using a hard wax, plaster of paris or something)

Then using clear cast resin, make a new lens. It will probably need quite a lot of polishing to become totally transparent. Hope this helps

The best way would be to order a replacement from Fujimi. I've not heard much of their customer service, so I don't know how helpfull they'd be. I think in the US, Fujimi may still be distributed by MRC, and they're pretty decent to deal with.

A much quicker way of going about it would be to take a small piece if aluminum foil, and lay it over one of the other lenses you still have on a flat surface. Press it around the shape of the lens until you have a good impression of it. Take the said piece of foil, turn it over, fill the dish shaped indentation from the lens with small bits of chopped up clear sprue, and hold this with a clothes pin or the like above a candle. Heat it gently!!! Too fast and the plastic will boil, ruining the casting! It may take a couple of tries to get it right, but it does work (fortunately, the supplies are cheap!). I've actually had good luck melting the plastic in a toaster oven. The casting won't have the detail on the back of the lens, but it may well look OK anyways (or do all four of them this way, and call them aftermarket headlamps!) Don't burn yourself.

Attempting to cast a new one with clear resin would be very expensive, messy, and almost definately unsuccessful- clear resin is a bitch to work with unless you really know what you're doing- and small parts only makes it harder!

Good luck.

Re: Help with E34 M5

Sometimes people put an air intake for the engine in place of one (or sometimes two) of the headlights.

you could buy this product by modelers. It is the 1/24 Light Lens Set. Pretty cool and the lens come in different size.
