enclosure design help

this used to be the best place to get car audio help, dont know how much of the old crew is still in here? is sparq still around??? anyway. I now have a single cab s-10. it is going to get a single JL Audio 10 W6 V2. i want to go with a ported box, just because of my success in the past. but i dont have much experience with single cab trucks. I have a hollywood sound labs excursion in a sealed box right now and it sounds horrible. but, i put the box in a friends cavaleir and it sounded good. will the air space in the cab of the truck have an adverse affect on the sound of the ported box

Re: enclosure design help

It depends. In a truck, cabin gain is hardly there so low end might not be the same as if it was in a sedan.

Btw, how big are you going to make the box?
