finally found out what was wrong with my REX!
finally pulled the ECU from my CRX.......ive got a 93' B18A1 in an 89' HF........ the whole time the car has been running a 90' ECU......
so my question is i know the guy who did the swap screwed us with the ECU, BUT if i were to just slip the right ECU in with all the wiring still the way it is would everything be fine or would I have to rewire everything to work with the ECU? also does anyone know what kinda ECU i need to get for the motor? thanks in advance guys!!! |

That ECU should make the motor run okay, but if you want to run the ECU for that engine, you need to rewire for OBD1. If you don't want to rewire, rechip the ecu with a B18 program.

yeah, the guy at the acura dealership said the having that wrong ECU in my car would be causing all the major problems ive been having with the swap........so ive either got to rewire or do what? how would I go about chipping the ECU for the motor?
