Theft Lock System!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I am in a little bit of a pickle, Here is the issue. I took my car to the shop because it was missing and jumping alot in the low gears. (96 Z24 cavalier, 2.4) The tech said that it wast the Ignition Module. So I went home broke out the Haynes Book. I read a note of caution for modles that have the MRD Theft system in place the you will need a code. I called my Brother (who gave me the car) and asked him if it did, ( i should have looked at the driver manual instead but what are you going to do) Anyway he said know, I proceded to replace the module and got everything put back together. I try to start it and it will not turn over. I look in the Dash and there is the Theft System light shining brighter thatn the North Star. So I go the the glove and break out the driver manuel and that is where I find all the latest news on the theft system and what one needed to do. Here is the pickle-My brother changed the stereo (Because that is where you would have entered the codes to deactivate the the Imfamouse Theft System) So do you see my problem. If anyone can help I would be most greatful!!

Angie
