1997 Avalon and struts

Has anyone had any success with strut replacements, front or back or both, in making the Avalon ride less like a truck?

I have replaced 4 strut on my Avalon 99 with ACDelco . "Integrity" of the car got improved, but got ride kind of truck (or van). I would like to know is something could be done to make is "softer"

try a "touring type" of tire. Higher sidewalls = more cushy
