Electrical problem

I have a 94 dodge caravan with a mysterious electrical problem that is driving me nuts. Sometimes when I am driving it the heater blower motor, radio, winshield wipers and turn signals quit working and the air bag light comes on. By the time I get it somewhere where I can look at it everything starts working again. I am thinking maybe it has a bad chassis ground somewhere, But wouldn't it do it all the time then. If anyone has any ideas I could use some help because this thing is driving me nuts. Thanks in advance.

Bryan

Re: Electrical problem

Bryan, I recently worked on a Caravan With some strange electrical problems and what I traced it to was the main bulkhead connector. It is where the main power comes into the body of the vehicle. If you want to check this. Follow the wires from the main fuse/relay block under the hood. The wires run underneath the windshield washer bottle and the exterior harness bolts to the intererior harness under there. When I disconnected mine I could see much corrosion on the male spade terminals. After removing the rubber boot that covers the wires going into the plug I found many wires were rotted apart. I got a used plug from a junkyard and spliced and soldered 39 wires. And believe it or not I only mixed 2 of them up. After I figured that out it worked like a charm.
