280Z with small block chevy conversion?
Hey all, I know this isnt the nissan or datsun forum, but i figured that you all know the most about small block chevy conversions. I have found a 50% restored 1978 Datsun 280Z roadster 5sp. It has a beautiful body, but then interior and the drive train need quite a bit of work. I've pretty much ditched the sleeper camaro idea, and have found that i can sell the maro this summer and make quite a bit of money off of it. Instead i am considering the idea of purchasing this datsun and dropping in an LT1 or LS1 + 6 sp tranny and possibly rear end? I've found small block conversion kits, but most feature carbed 350's and 400's. The stock I6 has fuel injection but what will i need to do as far as oxygen sensors, computer, Air Conditioning (has stock), power stearing and the like... I know i'll probably get some negative comments about asking for help on a Jap car, but hey what's a guy to do?

Re: 280Z with small block chevy conversion?
go to www.hpsalvage.com and go to either the links page or the swap tips page(i dont remember which) and go through the links, there are a couple pages there that have what your lookin for. if i remember correctly you can go to the member cars or project cars (which ever the page is called) and there is an old datsun with an lt-1 in it...
