Flickering lights

Got a problem with 96 GA. Have noticed it both in mornings and evenings. At times my headlights will start flickering along with the lights on the radio? Any ideas on what may be causing this? Alternator was just replaced yr and half ago, no idea on the battery. Could that be the issue?

Re: Flickering lights

well when i pull my ebrake it shuts off the lights. but now when i do it they flicker as if something is lose. so maybe it might have something to do with that and the bass from the radio. if it was your battery it would probably stall the car.

The lights flickering is more then likely your altenator. My mothers car has the same problem right now. After the altenator was replaced on the car, ( about two years later) the lights began to flicker. When we brought it to the mechanic he said it was the altenator... but he told us it would be pointless to replace since it's working fine. More or less it's just annoying but shouldn't affect the car

When you get in the car and the lights are flickering, Rev the car a little if it goes away WHILE you are revving the engine,if it does then it's your altenator.

by the way my mothers car has been doing this for about 3 years now.
