LArgest Diameter tires to fit in Stock 92Civic

Okay, those who like to push it a little, or a lot... Whats the largest diameter x width (lets toss in width, too as that matters sometimes more than tire O.D.) tire you've fit into a stock 92 (or 93, 94, I guess its gen 5 ?) 92 Honda Civic without scrubbing suspension or fender wells ? Okay, maybe a little scrub on the plastic well in exteme cases is okay, but not serious scrub...

If you don't know how to convert to Outside Diameter from the tire 'sizing' thats cool, just list the tire in its conventional size like P205-50R-16.

Oh, the car has stock (neither raised or lowered) suspension.

thanks....

Largest Diameter fit...

Okay, I got no answers but several 'views' on this post so I'll answer what I just found out this weekend.

Just installed a set of 4 195-60R-15's (40mm offset) on the subject Civic, stock suspension. Those have an overall OD of 24.2". The stock hides were whopping 175-70-R13s at an OD of 22.65". Thats an increase of 1.55" on the diameter, or of course .78" radially. So the car essentially sits .78" higher, and the fender wells 'see' a tire .78" larger, the radius (not diameter) dimension. The wheels fill the (unlowered) wells nicely viewed from the side. From the front/back, the tire comes out about flush with the outside of the wheel well, also a 'good' look in my opinion. No wheel well scrubbing when steering is turned lock to lock. In feeling around I'd say the closest point is the front tires, inside top dead center of the tire, less than an inch (ie: one finger thickness) from the suspension. So you could prolly scrape by with a 205 but no wider. There is NO comparison with the factory look or ride, this blows it away... For the bucks, money well spent, and for a few % speedo error, well worth it...

How (can?)do I post a picture, I'll toss some online tomorrow if I can figure out how...

Later,
Z
