Talking 79 TA Shaker.!!

Hey, do you guys know where can I get a nice 6.6L, TA shaker, functioning one, if possible.

None of the '79 shakers were functional from the factory. So you have two choices that allow you to keep the car looking stock. Remember, since the placement of the shaker is not really good for air flow, you are not going to create a ram air situation with opening the shaker. The advantage is slightly colder air than the existing cold air intake. Don't expect a lot of increased power.

1. You can very carefully cut out the blocked air inlet on your shaker unit (I suggest you get a spare and cut that one, not your original). Also, shakers for these engines were different between the 403 Olds engine and the 400 Pontiac engine, so make sure you take a picture and measurements with you while searching. If you drive the car only in the sunshine, you can do it this way.

2. There is a company that makes a fully functional setup for your shaker that will open and close automatically. Here is the URL: http://www.pontiactransamshakers.homestead.com/

yah that is what you will want because the stock shakers were reverse shakers and didnt really work they worked more on vacuum buy one from that link it will be better then cutting your old one and plus it will work alot better
