Revell's Metal Body Eclipse: know anything about it?

I'm thinking of buying this kit and stripping it to metal, and maybe customizing a little bit. How good is the detail of the kit? Has anybody built one yet?

Someone was building it a while ago here, i dont know what happened to it. I personally don't like metal kits because they are hard to modify and paint. You have to get special self etching primer to do it right.

Tamiya's primer says "For plastic and metal". Is it no good on die-cast? What about automotive primer?

Ya, but I"ll only be able to find it for $25 CAD, and that'll be 3 months after it's released in the US... I can get the metal body one for $15 CAD. Is the plastic kit going to be the same as the die cast, but in plastic, or will it have more detail?

Mark. I have the kit. Wanna talk about blowing the amt out of the water!? This car features the GSX Awd system, a REAL 4g63 DOHC with turbo and intercooler. The interior is pretty descent, 1 nitrous tank, 2 8'' woofers in a box, and the REAL Sparco Torino seats, it features white gauges and the shift knob/bag are off from the real thing. But it beats the living shit out of the amt. Hands down, got mine for 16 usd.

Very cool. I'll be buying the kit tonight then. I think I may have to take up resin casting to use the engine in other projects, like Lancers, etc.

Thanks!
